Position Details

This part-time, onsite position is based in North Bay, Ontario. The schedule includes Monday to Friday with various shifts assigned, totaling 40 hours per week. The hourly rate is $22.18, with a potential increase after three months as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Job Summary

The Utility Courier is responsible for picking up and delivering customer packages according to daily schedules and addressing any issues that may arise. This role also involves covering for absent couriers across different shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily pick-up and delivery of customer packages, adhering to established schedules.
  • Utilize a package scanner to record the status of items upon receipt, delivery, or return to the depot.
  • Proactively resolve delivery or pick-up challenges encountered on the road, coordinating with dispatch and customers.
  • Perform mandatory daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR).
  • Report any inspection failures immediately to the unit manager.

Additional Information

Working Conditions: This role involves working both on the road and within a warehouse environment. The position reports to the Manager Unit.
