About the role
This position is part of Canada’s large integrated network for freight, parcel, and logistics services. The work focuses on helping deliveries move reliably and on time, with a strong emphasis on service, safety, and community impact.
Work schedule and location
The shift runs Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, for 40 hours each week. There is a 30-minute unpaid break. The pay starts at $22.18 per hour and increases to $25.12 after 3 months, in line with the collective agreement.
The route is based out of Chapleau, Ontario, and the employee is required to begin and end each shift at the Chapleau depot. The job is described as a remote run, and the working condition is on the road.
What you will do
- Collect and deliver customer shipments according to daily pickup and delivery timelines.
- Use scanning tools to record packages and mail when received, delivered, or returned to the depot.
- Coordinate with dispatch and customers to handle issues that come up during the route.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks using a package scanner and an electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR).
Education and experience
Applicants should have completed high school, along with relevant vocational training. A valid Class 5 driver’s licence is required. The role also calls for 3 years of driving experience and a clean driver’s abstract for operating delivery vehicles.

Vacation entitlement is two weeks after one year of continuous service.

Employees can begin voluntary GRRSP and TFSA contributions from the hire date. Automatic enrolment in the pension plan begins after 12 months of continuous service.
