Role overview

Benefit is expanding and is looking to hire a full-time Counter Manager for its 37.5-hour counter in Shaws Wexford. This is a solo counter position, so previous team management experience is not required. That said, the role does include management-related responsibilities, along with ownership of day-to-day counter performance.

In this position, you will play a key part in driving sales, delivering memorable customer service, and keeping the counter operating smoothly and professionally.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver brow services such as waxing, tinting, and tweezing, while creating a positive experience that encourages repeat visits and increases service revenue.
  • Build strong customer relationships, confidently present products, and consistently work toward personal sales targets as well as overall counter objectives.
  • Support business growth by planning and running in-store and external events, collaborations, product launches, and charity-led activities that help raise awareness and sales.
  • Keep the counter well stocked, monitor inventory levels, and escalate stock concerns quickly to the Area Manager to reduce missed sales opportunities.
  • Serve as an important point of contact between store or department managers and the Area Manager, making sure information is passed on clearly and efficiently.
  • Handle routine administrative work across daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cycles, while supporting smooth counter operations.
  • Maintain excellent hygiene, housekeeping, and visual presentation standards across the counter and product displays.

Candidate profile

Benefit is looking for someone who is energetic, self-starting, able to work independently, and motivated by sales performance. A genuine interest in makeup and retail is important, along with a strong focus on customer experience, target achievement, and practical problem-solving.

Flexible availability is essential, including weekends, late evenings, Bank holidays, and holiday periods.

A background of 2 to 4 years in customer service within retail or hospitality is required, ideally with a strong interest in sales success.
