Role Overview
The position of Cost Manager at TPM Williams is a full-time role based on-site in Riyadh. This role demands responsibility for preparing, reviewing, and managing cost estimates, budgeting, and compiling financial reports related to construction projects spanning multiple sectors. The Cost Manager's duties include monitoring project costs, tracking changes and variations, aiding value engineering efforts to optimize costs without compromising quality, and collaborating closely with project managers, design teams, and client representatives. Additional tasks encompass analyzing tender documents, taking part in contract negotiations, advising on cost-related risks and mitigation strategies, maintaining precise cost data, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and driving continuous improvements in cost management procedures.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in cost management and quantity surveying, embracing tasks such as cost estimation, budget preparation, and cost control.
- Strong skills in financial analysis of construction projects, evaluation of tenders, and administration of contracts.
- Competency in interpreting technical drawings and documentation alongside supporting value engineering initiatives.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, alongside teamwork within diverse multidisciplinary groups.
- High numerical precision, meticulous attention to detail, and methodical problem-solving skills.
- Experience within significant construction sectors—commercial, mixed-use, residential, infrastructure, or oil and gas—is highly valued.
- Familiarity with project control and cost management software coupled with proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields, with professional certifications like RICS considered favorable.
