Role Overview
The Corrections Control Operator (CCO) works within the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office Corrections Division in St. Augustine, FL. The primary responsibility involves administrative and monitoring tasks related to inmates housed in correctional facilities. This role ensures adherence to organizational policies, Florida Model Jail Standards, and Florida Corrections Accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update inmate logs continuously and accurately.
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations through clerical and control room functions.
- Communicate essential information to deputies promptly using radio or speaker systems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a High School Diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
- Must hold a valid Florida Driver's License.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite components including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Experience or basic understanding of standard office machinery and equipment.
