About the company

Hims & Hers is a health and wellness platform focused on making care more affordable, accessible, and personalized. The company aims to improve health outcomes by offering tailored support across the journey from diagnosis to treatment and delivery. It is a publicly traded company listed on the NYSE under the ticker symbol HIMS.

The organization promotes a flexible, remote-friendly way of working and has a culture that emphasizes benefits, wellness, and a people-first approach.

About the role

The Employee Experience team is looking for a Corporate Event Planner for a full-time, four-month contract. In this position, you will use your hospitality and event planning background to coordinate internal events that support company culture and connection. The role covers the full event lifecycle, including venue research, vendor coordination, contract discussions, logistics planning, and follow-through after events. You will work closely with leaders and stakeholders to deliver smooth, well-run experiences that stay within schedule and budget.

What you'll do

  • Organize internal events based on company needs, including sourcing and hiring vendors, securing venues, arranging transportation, inviting attendees, planning activities, managing banquet requirements, and preparing event materials such as name badges and signage.
  • Keep stakeholders informed throughout the planning process, align on event objectives, coordinate guest lists and vendor requirements, and ensure everyone has the information they need.
  • Collaborate with leaders and executives to define event scope, format, budget, administrative details, and any special arrangements.
  • Negotiate with venues, caterers, hospitality teams, A/V providers, and other suppliers to secure the services needed while staying within budget goals.
  • Oversee events remotely from setup through teardown, ensuring the planned format is followed, regulations are respected, vendors work smoothly together, issues are resolved quickly, and participants and sponsors are satisfied.
  • Complete post-event work, including checking in with clients, reviewing invoices, approving payments, and recording any issues and resolutions.
  • Assess venues, vendors, and other service providers on an ongoing basis to determine future fit and build a stronger knowledge base for supporting stakeholders.
  • Monitor the Employee Experience events inbox and maintain communication templates.
  • Support additional administrative tasks for the employee experience team as needed.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in hospitality, corporate events, event management, or an event agency environment.
  • Background working with leaders and managers across all levels.
  • Experience handling a large number of projects, events, and vendors at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to handle conflict in a calm and professional manner.
  • Experience supporting several events of different sizes simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time-management ability.
  • Prior onsite event experience is required, though no onsite support will be needed during this assignment.
