CorelDRAW Designer and Laser Machine Operator

Job Overview

We seek a skilled CorelDRAW Designer and Laser Machine Operator to handle customized product and name plate creations. The role includes preparing design previews, modifying designs per client instructions, and operating laser cutting and vinyl cutting equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop customer design previews and mockups using CorelDRAW before production.
• Modify designs to incorporate customer feedback and instructions.
• Create precise laser cutting and engraving files suitable for laser operations using CorelDRAW.
• Operate CO₂ laser cutting and engraving equipment to work on materials such as acrylic, MDF, plywood, and others.
• Manage vinyl cutting or plotter machines for producing stickers, lettering, and various design elements.
• Prepare vinyl cutting files ensuring correct sizing, outlines, and layout arrangements.
• Verify dimensions, spelling, alignment, and design details prior to producing or submitting previews.
• Maintain organized records of customer design files.
• Collaborate with the production team once customer designs receive approval.
• Manage routine laser machine tasks including basic machine settings, focusing, and operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in CorelDRAW software.
• Experience with operating CO₂ laser cutting and engraving machines.
• Familiarity with vinyl cutting and plotter machine functions.
• Strong knowledge of measurements, fonts, vector graphics, outlines, and layouts.
• Attentive to detail, particularly for custom text such as names and house numbers.
• Basic computer operation and file management abilities.
• Capability to efficiently handle multiple customer design projects simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

• Background in working with acrylic, name plates, signage, laser cutting, or customized gift products is advantageous.
• Preference given to candidates able to independently translate customer instructions into production-ready designs.
