About the Role

Capitol Records is seeking a dynamic Viral Content Coordinator who is deeply immersed in music, culture, and the digital landscape. This position is crucial for identifying emerging trends and transforming artist moments into significant cultural impacts. The role involves close collaboration with artists, marketing teams, and creative professionals to develop authentic and engaging content that achieves rapid dissemination and broad fan resonance. Responsibilities range from managing TikTok trends to supporting major release rollouts, ultimately shaping how our artists are perceived and interact with the world through compelling digital content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide essential administrative support to the team, including project coordination, record-keeping, and addressing daily operational needs.
  • Manage invoice processing, track campaign activities and expenditures, and maintain precise reporting and documentation for all team initiatives.
  • Monitor emerging trends on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, with a specific emphasis on music-related viral moments.
  • Discover and capitalize on opportunities to enhance the visibility of Capitol Records artists through popular viral formats, sounds, and online conversations.
  • Develop and implement creative concepts for short-form content that align with artist branding and campaign objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with digital marketing, A&R, creative departments, and artist management to capture and produce content in real-time.
  • Craft engaging captions, hooks, and scripts designed to maximize audience interaction and content sharing.
  • Offer support for content creation during critical periods, including new releases, live events, and significant cultural moments.
  • Analyze content performance metrics, such as engagement rates, shares, and watch time, to inform future content strategies.
  • Maintain a high degree of adaptability in a rapidly evolving digital environment where timely execution is paramount.
  • Assist in the processing and tracking of invoices from third-party vendors.
Requirements
  • Possess 1-3 years of experience in social media, digital content creation, or marketing within the music/entertainment industry.
  • Demonstrate a robust understanding of TikTok and short-form video platforms, particularly concerning the evolution of music trends.
  • Exhibit a strong passion for music and a comprehensive familiarity with current artists, music genres, and fan communities.
  • Showcase a proven capacity to conceptualize and produce content rapidly without compromising quality or brand consistency.
  • Possess excellent writing abilities with a keen sense for tone, voice, and cultural relevance.
  • Prior experience with video editing software such as CapCut or Adobe Premiere is advantageous.
  • Ability to effectively manage both reactive content opportunities and planned campaign activities.
