Coordinator Public Excursions

Overview

We are looking for an organized individual passionate about nature and collaboration to serve as a Coordinator for Public Excursions in Apeldoorn and surrounding areas. This meaningful role supports the mission of IVN by connecting nature guides with various disciplines and fostering the growth of new guides to ensure continuity of knowledge and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize 1-2 annual meetings for excursion guides and involved members who contribute to the excursion organization. Use these meetings to collect input for the upcoming (half)year planning.
• Create and distribute the excursion schedule 1-2 times per year to all relevant parties including guides, excursion groups, the board, and PR/website coordinators.
• Maintain monthly contact with excursion guides regarding their specific excursions and provide support as needed.
• Provide the editorial team of Groenvoer with a quarterly schedule for the "prikbord" section (4 times per year).
• Act as a liaison continuously by translating the guides' needs to the board and other disciplines and vice versa.
• Participate 1-2 times per year in coordinators' meetings to connect different disciplines and exchange ideas.
• Take part annually in the Natuurgidsenopleiding (NGO) working group evening to inform prospective guides about public excursions.
• Support NGO participants with multiple trial internships at excursion guides annually.
• Prepare an annual budget for public excursions each autumn.
• Compile a comprehensive year-end report of all excursions for inclusion in the annual report.
• Manage the excursions email account and respond to incoming correspondence on an ongoing basis.

The Public Excursions working group currently consists of two members. You will perform these tasks in collaboration with your dedicated colleague Silvia Ratering.
