About the Role
Universal Music Group (UMG) is a leading global music company with operations spanning recorded music, publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content across more than 60 countries. Within UMe, the catalog music marketing division, this position supports the team in bringing classic releases and iconic artists to new audiences through carefully coordinated campaigns and effective cross-functional execution.
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in music marketing, contribute to legendary catalog projects, and develop hands-on experience with release planning, assets, meetings, budgets, and campaign coordination in a fast-moving label environment.
What You Will Do
You will provide daily administrative and project support to the marketing team, with a strong emphasis on setup and administration for physical releases. The role involves organizing creative materials, managing timelines, supporting communications, and helping ensure campaigns move forward smoothly across departments.
- Support the marketing team with day-to-day administrative and project coordination for catalog release campaigns, especially physical release setup.
- Oversee the flow of creative materials by coordinating artwork, videos, social content, and other marketing assets through creation, trafficking, and delivery.
- Arrange and manage internal and external meetings, artist calls, and campaign check-ins across teams and time zones.
- Keep campaign schedules up to date, monitor deadlines, and make sure all involved stakeholders stay informed and aligned.
- Help prepare decks, one-sheets, timelines, marketing plans, and recap documentation.
- Assist with budget monitoring, vendor onboarding, invoice handling, and related financial records.
- Track campaign progress and contribute updates across DSPs, social channels, and retail activity.
- Organize project folders, metadata, release paperwork, and other core campaign materials in partnership with creative and operations teams.
- Work alongside A&R, creative, digital, commerce, and publicity teams to support successful release rollouts.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of related experience; internships, agency experience, or prior coordinator work are considered useful.
- Genuine enthusiasm for music and interest in the legacy of catalog artists.
- Strong organizational ability, careful attention to detail, and solid time management.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office along with project and creative tools such as Canva, Monday.com, Photoshop, and Adobe applications.
- Ability to manage several projects at once in a busy, deadline-driven setting.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a collaborative team environment.
- Proactive problem-solving approach and a positive, solution-focused mindset.
- Team-oriented attitude, strong work ethic, and appreciation for legendary music.
