Job description
Role Overview
This position involves managing and maintaining filing systems, preparing and typing office correspondence using a computer, distributing and sending correspondence, and ordering and tracking office provisions and Human Resources forms. It also includes answering phone calls and recording messages, creating personnel files for new employees, assisting incoming candidates with application procedures, and ensuring the designated application area is clean, maintained, and accessible to those with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Address employee and management inquiries regarding company programs, policies, and HR guidelines.
- Report employee relation issues within the division or hotel to HR management.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of hotel and employee records and information.
- Ensure proper upkeep of all employee records and files, including interview documents and I-9 forms.
- Comply with company policies, maintain a professional appearance, uphold confidentiality, and protect company assets.
- Notify management of accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions.
- Welcome guests following company standards and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Prepare and review written communications accurately and answer phones using appropriate protocols.
- Foster positive work relationships, support teamwork to achieve goals, and respond appropriately to coworkers’ concerns.
- Guarantee adherence to quality standards and expectations.
- Enter and retrieve job-related information using computers and point-of-sale systems.
- Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, transporting, pushing, pulling, and positioning objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Carry out other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED program certificate.
- Work Experience: Minimum of one year in a related role.
- Supervisory Experience: Not required.
- Licenses or Certifications: None required.
