Bon Appétit is hiring immediately for both full and part-time cook positions located at Oxford College of Emory, 100 Hamill Street, Oxford, GA 30054. Job Summary

The cook is responsible for preparing food in compliance with federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring high-quality meals and excellent food service during all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and production schedules.
  • Serve and portion meals accurately, maintain proper food temperature and presentation, and taste all prepared dishes to ensure quality.
  • Follow established ticketing procedures and maintain accurate records during service.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen and work areas following service; comply with safe food handling procedures including appropriate storage or disposal of excess food.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of refrigerators and storerooms, ensuring supplies are stored correctly.
  • Operate and care for kitchen equipment as directed.
  • Assist with production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
  • Support food and supply ordering and receiving processes.
  • Report equipment problems, maintenance needs, or accidents to supervisors immediately.
  • Participate in safety and in-service meetings to stay compliant with policies.
  • Foster positive relationships with coworkers, customers, managers, and administrators.
  • Adhere to safety policies, including using protective gloves when handling knives and hot pans, wearing slip-resistant shoes, and practicing proper lifting techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP standards for portion control, presentation, and food temperature.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in cooking and customer service is mandatory.
  • Open availability to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

  • Hourly pay ranges from $18.50 to $20.00.
