Job description

About the company

Amity Law is part of the PEXA Group and focuses exclusively on conveyancing. The firm supports people moving home, whether they are buying, selling or remortgaging, by combining legal expertise with a practical understanding of each client’s situation and timing needs.

It is a fully regulated and licensed law firm that works with individuals, investors and lenders, and it has built a 20-year reputation with a strong emphasis on customer service.

The business values diversity, development and retention, and promotes a transparent, approachable culture with an open-door style of working. As the company continues to grow, it is looking for motivated people to join its team.

The role

This position is for a Conveyancing Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will support experienced Conveyancing Case Handlers and help drive residential property transactions forward while contributing to a high-quality client experience.

The role suits someone with conveyancing administration experience who is comfortable in a busy environment and keen to develop a career in property law.

Key duties

  • Provide administrative support to Conveyancing Case Handlers during residential property matters
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and other external parties to keep transactions progressing
  • Carry out Anti-Money Laundering checks and prepare conveyancing paperwork
  • Track tasks and ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines
  • Maintain case management records with important dates and case details
  • Prepare case files for exchange, completion and closing
  • Deliver strong customer service throughout the transaction journey

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate will have experience in a client-facing conveyancing support or legal administration role. You should be well organised, proactive and able to juggle several priorities at once.

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset are important, along with confidence using case management systems such as Redbrick and Microsoft Office.

A legal qualification is not essential, but it would be beneficial if you are already studying, or planning to study, toward CILEX, CLC or an LLB.

Contract and working arrangement

This is a fully remote role and is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Pay and benefits

The salary for this position is £27,000.

  • Work fully remotely
  • Join a supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Access opportunities to learn and grow your conveyancing career
  • Become part of a respected specialist law firm within the PEXA Group

Applicant data will also be handled in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. During recruitment, personal data may be processed by PEXA Group entities as controllers or, in some cases, joint controllers. By applying, you consent to this processing in accordance with the relevant privacy notice.
