Role Overview
The Control & Reporting Assistant Analyst is responsible for accurately processing, verifying, and recording accounting transactions in subsidiary ledgers, maintaining precise financial records, and managing bank book balances. This role involves ensuring effective accounting controls, compliance, and assisting the Reporting Manager with month-end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Timely processing and verification of journal entries related to various accounts including payables, fixed assets acquisitions and disposals, general and administrative expenses including payroll, and employee travel & entertainment expenses.
- Recording and reconciling inter-company transactions and cross charges.
- Reviewing and validating petty cash expenses.
- Acting as a General Ledger supervisor within SAP.
- Protecting company assets by maintaining stringent financial controls.
- Ensuring accurate and compliant reporting aligned with the Smart Spend policy.
- Validating general ledger and cost center postings related to purchase order approvals.
- Maintaining and updating the fixed assets register.
- Overseeing travel and entertainment governance for the Jeddah office and conducting periodic audits to ensure compliance with relevant policies.
- Preparing schedules for prepayments, accruals, T&E aging reports, and clearing accounts for month-end reporting.
- Serving as the primary finance contact for Jeddah office stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ensuring adherence to local, statutory, and fiscal regulations.
- Supporting the Reporting Manager with monthly and quarterly deliverables.
- Collaborating with the SAP Master Data team to resolve system issues.
- Maintaining the SAP vendor list and ensuring compliance with company payment terms.
- Coordinating the creation of new vendors, employees, and suppliers with the Master Data team.
- Conducting GCS testing quarterly to uphold control standards.
- Implementing policies and procedures that promote efficient and well-controlled financial transaction processing.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Between 2 to 4 years of experience in financial accounting.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Proven capability to meet deadlines and deliver results under pressure.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced expertise in SAP.
