Overview
Saudi Aramco’s Marine Department is looking for a Contracts Advisor to support its contracting activities. The department delivers a wide range of marine services that aid oil exploration, production, and transport across and around Saudi Aramco’s offshore concession areas. In this role, you will act as the contracting representative for the business area, helping guide contracts from development through administration and closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support engineering and financial analysis used to determine whether contract services are feasible, and compare technical, financial, and administrative options.
- Contribute to assessments of company risk and exposure at a professional level.
- Help evaluate bidders, including their technical qualifications.
- Assist in drafting scopes of work for a range of contract services.
- Verify contractor costs and help prepare amendments related to cost increases or reductions.
- Handle contract-related actions such as new contracts, rebids, amendments, and extensions.
- Take part in negotiation discussions with vendors.
- Prepare high-quality presentations for executive leadership and contribute to presentations for the Services Review Committee.
- Offer detailed technical guidance to contract proponents from initial requirement planning through contract execution and final termination.
- Support proponents in ensuring compliance with contract administration requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited and approved institution is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting and contracting, plus 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, is expected.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills are essential.
- Good working knowledge of computer applications and procurement systems is needed.
