Job description
Role overview
We are hiring a freelance Content Producer to support our creative team in Boston for around 2 to 4 days each month. The position is very hands-on and involves working directly on shoots, capturing content, and handling production details from start to finish.
This opportunity is best suited to someone who is highly engaged with social media, cares deeply about how content is created as well as published, and is interested in building a long-term path in production, content, and creative delivery. You will receive guidance, training, and ongoing development from the Creative Director, while also being expected to work independently, plan ahead, and solve problems quickly in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
Your work will cover on-set production, content capture, editing handoff, and shoot support.
- Attend photo and video shoots and support the team during production days.
- Capture social-first content using both an iPhone and a camera.
- Work with talent throughout shoot days and help keep the process smooth.
- Identify strong content opportunities as they happen and act on them immediately.
- Prepare captured material for delivery to the social team.
- Organize files, folders, and content archives after each shoot.
- Make sure all content is delivered on schedule and matches the brief.
- Assist with planning shoots, including schedules and run sheets.
- Help coordinate locations, props, equipment, and timing.
- Keep shoots moving efficiently and raise issues early when needed.
- Stay calm and practical when plans change on the day.
Requirements
You do not need many years of prior experience, but you should bring the following:
- Genuine interest in content creation, production, and social media.
- Solid understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and the creator ecosystem.
- Comfortable using an iPhone for content capture.
- Basic editing ability, with CapCut preferred.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to travel and remain flexible around shoot schedules.
- Composed, practical problem-solving approach under pressure.
- Clear communication skills, especially when dealing with clients on set.
Personal attributes
- Self-starter who takes responsibility without being chased.
- Detail-oriented and quick to notice what others may overlook.
- Confident asking questions and backing your own judgment.
Culture and working style
The role sits within a team that values how work is done just as much as the final output. The environment emphasizes responsibility over simply completing tasks, high standards without ego, progress over perfectionism, strong communication, accountability, and a calm, capable, and kind approach under pressure. The team trusts people early, supports growth intentionally, and expects initiative, sound judgment, and pride in the work. You will be supported and challenged, not micromanaged.
Application instructions
To apply, send an email with your resume, links to work you are proud of such as case studies, campaigns, content, decks, or other material that demonstrates your skill and impact, your availability for shoot days, and your half-day and full-day rates. Use Content Producer as the email subject line.
