Role overview
This opportunity is on behalf of a partner employer that will handle the application review and all later hiring steps. The company is hiring a Content Moderation Specialist (SA) based in Ireland to help maintain a secure, compliant, and reliable online space.
The role involves reviewing user-generated material on a busy digital platform and making sure it aligns with safety standards, platform rules, and applicable legal obligations. You will need to assess potentially sensitive content carefully, apply moderation policies in a consistent way, and work accurately in a fast-moving environment. When cases are unclear or require deeper review, you will coordinate with escalation or specialist teams. The position directly supports user safety and overall platform integrity.
Key responsibilities
- Check user-submitted content and confirm that it follows internal policies, safety expectations, and legal requirements.
- Spot material that is harmful, deceptive, inappropriate, or otherwise outside policy, and take the appropriate action.
- Use moderation guidelines consistently while maintaining fairness and high accuracy in every decision.
- Refer difficult, sensitive, or ambiguous cases to senior moderators or dedicated policy experts.
- Work toward agreed productivity and quality goals in a high-volume moderation setting.
- Handle sensitive content and user information with a high level of confidentiality.
- Contribute observations and feedback that can help improve moderation processes over time.
Requirements
- Ideally, you bring 6 months to 1 year of experience in trust and safety, compliance, moderation, or a related area.
- You should be highly detail-oriented and capable of assessing disturbing or sensitive content in an objective manner.
- A basic grasp of moderation workflows, moderation tools, and community standards is expected.
- You need to understand that cultural context can affect how online content is interpreted.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, are required.
- You must be able to record decisions in a clear and consistent way.
- You should be comfortable operating in a structured, policy-led, fast-paced environment.
Benefits
- Monthly compensation of up to 800 USD, subject to eligibility.
- Remote-first working arrangement.
- Paid vacation and paid sick leave.
- Access to learning and development opportunities.
- Sports and wellness support.
- Chance to contribute to a global digital platform that is growing quickly.
- Supportive and collaborative team culture.
Compensation and additional information
This role offers a competitive monthly payout of up to 800 USD, depending on eligibility. The hiring process may use AI-assisted matching and screening support, but final decisions are made by people. Personal data will be processed for recruitment purposes and may be shared with the hiring employer as part of the application workflow. Applicants have rights related to access, correction, deletion, and objection under applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.
The application and follow-up steps are managed by the partner employer's internal team after shortlist selection. Any assessments or interviews will be arranged directly by them.
