Job description
Position Overview
This role is a 3-month contract focused on content and copywriting, specifically for AI-driven content creation. The Content & Copywriting Manager is tasked with leading the development and adaptation of brand stories and content across multiple channels for Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd., popularly known as The Times of India. The position is pivotal in redefining content creation by integrating AI technologies, while maintaining originality, editorial clarity, and brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engaging narratives for campaigns, branded content, digital media, social platforms, events, and commercial-editorial integrations.
- Collaborate with teams from Brand, Response, Editorial, Times Experiences, and Product & Technology to build AI-powered content ecosystems enhancing creativity, personalization, speed, and reach.
Experience and Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years in content strategy, brand storytelling, copywriting, editorial content, or integrated content studios, with a portfolio showing strong audience engagement.
- Proven track record creating impactful content across various mediums including social media, events, advertising campaigns, and digital platforms.
- Familiarity with AI tools for content creation including prompt engineering, generative writing, scripting, content adaptation, and personalization.
- Ability to integrate strategic narrative development with audience insights and creative expression to develop scalable communication frameworks.
- Expertise in multiple content forms such as long-form articles, social storytelling, scripts, campaign messaging, presentations, and platform-native digital content.
- Deep understanding of audience behavior, media consumption, and storytelling tailored to print, digital, social, video, and conversational interfaces.
- Experience with media, digital publishing, advertising agencies, branded content production, or creator networks is advantageous.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English Literature, Advertising, Marketing, Media Studies, Digital Communication, Creative Writing, or related fields.
- Certifications or practical experience in AI content tools, generative AI, prompt engineering, digital storytelling, or content strategy is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with evolving digital content and AI storytelling workflows is valued higher than solely academic credentials.
- While formal education is recognized, stronger emphasis is placed on narrative skill, portfolio quality, strategic insight, and creative aptitude.
