Job description

About The Brand Leader

For 27 years, The Brand Leader® has been shaping and directing national brands across various sectors. Combining strategy, creativity, digital expertise, photography, and video services under one roof, we take brands from the initial concept through to full-fledged execution.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate Content Creator deeply engaged with social media, storytelling, and content creation. This position acts as a vital link between strategy and implementation, steering ideas from their inception through production, optimization, and evaluation. You will collaborate closely with Social Strategists, Account Teams, and the TBL Studios production group to produce compelling content that drives tangible business impact.

This role encompasses more than production; it requires someone who instinctively spots opportunities, keeps current with trends, innovates creatively, and takes responsibility for expanding both our clients' social media presence and The Brand Leader's own channels. The ideal candidate blends creativity, strategy, production skills, and problem-solving abilities, thriving in a dynamic environment while maintaining high creative standards.

This is a full-time salaried role based in our Greenville, SC office.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with strategists to convert business goals into engaging, platform-specific content.
  • Design content concepts, ongoing series, and fresh creative ideas that align with client objectives.
  • Identify and leverage trends, cultural events, and emerging content formats proactively.
  • Consistently propose innovative ideas to clients and internal teams without prompt.
  • Produce and edit diverse short-form video content including product features, lifestyle clips, UGC, talking-head videos, behind-the-scenes, and trend-based formats.
  • Capture and retouch photography that supports product, lifestyle, and brand storytelling.
  • Apply creative briefs and brand standards to produce engaging and cohesive content.
  • Discern when content requires polished production versus authentic, spontaneous storytelling.
  • Coordinate with TBL Studios to optimize both scheduled and impromptu content creation opportunities.
  • Manage the content pipeline for assigned brands from strategy through final delivery.
  • Transform large-scale productions into extended periods of usable social media content.
  • Seize content opportunities as they arise to maintain fresh and relevant material.
  • Submit well-organized, timely content assets prepared for publication by account teams.
  • Analyze content performance metrics including engagement and reach to guide creative improvements.
  • Recommend and implement creative adjustments based on audience interaction and platform trend analysis.
  • Experiment continuously with new formats, hooks, editing techniques, and narrative styles.
  • Contribute to enhancing The Brand Leader's own social media channels through original content, thought leadership, and behind-the-scenes insights.
  • Serve as a representative for the agency’s creative ethos and perspective.
  • Note: This role excludes direct community management, comment moderation, influencer management, integrated communications planning, ongoing scheduling/publishing, and formal analytics reporting.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience producing impactful video and photographic content for brands.
  • Deep understanding of primary social platforms, trending topics, algorithms, and new content formats.
  • Skilled in video and image editing software such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
  • Ability to strategically conceptualize while delivering creative execution.
  • Highly self-driven with strong accountability and ownership qualities.
  • Comfortable managing multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-moving agency environment.
  • Prior agency experience is advantageous but not mandatory; creativity, initiative, and a strong instinct are essential.

  • Being regarded by clients as an integral part of their marketing team.
  • Regularly contributing innovative ideas proactively.
  • Creating content libraries from every production that have long-term usability.
  • Letting content performance data steer creative strategies.
  • Balancing efficiency and high-quality output.
  • Driving increases in engagement, brand awareness, and business results for clients.
  • Consistently enhancing storytelling for both clients and The Brand Leader agency.
