About the Role
The Consumables Associate position at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service abilities. This role is integral in ensuring a smooth, fast-paced transfer of merchandise from storage to sales areas. As a key team member, you will assist customers, stock and organize merchandise, and uphold a clean and safe store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome customers and provide courteous assistance.
- Help customers by promoting products, locating items, and aiding purchase decisions.
- Address customer concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain attractive salesfloor presentation by stocking, rotating items, removing damaged or expired products, arranging displays, and setting prices and signage.
- Properly manage claims and returns, secure merchandise against loss, identify items at risk of shrinkage, and maintain workplace safety according to company policies.
- Accurately receive, stock, and log merchandise using appropriate equipment and documentation.
- Refer specific service or transactional matters to a Customer Service Manager as needed.
- Perform stocking, picking, downstocking, apply product protection when required, and complete modular setups including flexible modulars and shelf cap adjustments.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.90.

- Must be at least 16 years of age.
