Consulting - Solution Lead

About the role

PwC New Zealand is hiring a Solution Lead at Director level in Wellington. The role sits within consulting and is focused on end-to-end technical ownership of solutions delivered for multiple clients. You will make sure the approved architecture is turned into a working, secure, and stable solution across all connected platforms.

In this position, you will work closely with Enterprise and Domain Architects to steer technical delivery, integration, quality, and production readiness across platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe, MuleSoft, and complex legacy environments. You will be accountable for the technical outcome of the solution from design through to live support.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the single technical owner for the solution and ensure delivery is unified, secure, and aligned to business outcomes.
• Convert architectural direction into practical implementation plans and make informed delivery trade-offs where needed.
• Provide technical leadership across Salesforce, Adobe, MuleSoft, and legacy systems, with an emphasis on scalable and well-integrated solutions.
• Own DevOps strategy, CI/CD alignment, release integrity, and readiness for production.
• Oversee design governance, integration quality, code standards, testing, dependencies, and risk management across teams.
• Ensure the solution is secure, performant, scalable, and operationally supportable, including go-live and stabilisation.
• Work with stakeholders and vendors, communicate technical decisions clearly, and build confidence in delivery.

Skills and experience

• Proven senior-level technical leadership on large enterprise platforms.
• Experience delivering solutions end to end across multiple technologies.
• Background in integrating SaaS platforms with legacy systems.
• Strong hands-on Salesforce implementation experience.
• Exposure to Adobe or similar digital experience platforms.
• Working knowledge of MuleSoft and API-led integration patterns.
• Understanding of distributed systems and master data concepts.
• Working knowledge of integration, data movement, and security considerations.
• Awareness of non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, and resilience.
• Comfort with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and release governance.
• Strong engineering judgement with a pragmatic approach to decision-making.
• Ability to operate confidently with both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
