Job Overview
We are seeking motivated Construction Laborers to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the application of spray foam insulation and plastic coatings on diverse construction sites throughout Alberta including residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This position involves physically demanding tasks, working primarily outdoors and at heights such as rooftops and scaffolding. Comprehensive training and safety certifications will be provided, along with growth opportunities within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and operating spray foam insulation and coating equipment.
- Manage hoses, compressors, and other materials needed on the job site.
- Prepare work areas by moving insulation materials, drywall, and clearing debris.
- Perform tasks at elevated locations like scaffolding and roofs.
- Ensure the work area remains clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Strictly adhere to safety procedures and consistently wear personal protective equipment including respirators.
- Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions attentively.
- Travel to different job sites across Alberta as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to the base near south Stony Plain.
- Physical ability to lift between 50 and 65 pounds and stand or move on feet for up to 12 hours.
- Comfortable working at heights on scaffolding and ladders.
- Proficient in clear English communication, as a safety requirement.
- Available to work extended hours and weekends during peak seasons (spring to fall).
- Willing to accept reduced hours or temporary layoffs during the slower winter period.
- Possession of the CSTS/CSO certificate.
Training and Certification Provided
- Safety certifications including H2S, First Aid, and Confined Space training.
- Hands-on training with all spray foam and coating equipment and processes.
Work Schedule
- Full-time employment with shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
- Extended work hours and weekend shifts during the busy spring through fall period.
- Reduced work hours or optional seasonal layoffs in the winter months.
