Job description
Role Summary
The Construction Technician specializing in Fabrication supports problem-solving independently within the Construction (Fab) domain by applying established operating and scientific methods.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage administrative tasks related to Smart Plant Construction, foundation systems, and related processes.
- Handle Engineering, Procurement, and Construction data processing including querying, organizing, cleansing, and converting datasets for import/export, analytics, and reporting purposes.
- Plan logistics for project material storage, handling, transportation, and Field Task Management (FTM).
- Execute material tagging, bagging, and reconciliation for project inventory.
- Compile and update documentation of shipped loose items.
- Maintain records for rented assets, calibration certificates, and special tools or tackles.
- Monitor and control the tool and tackle inventory per discipline and identify shortages.
- Maintain comprehensive master logs for Plant & Equipment (P&E), scaffolding, High-Value Test Equipment (HVE), and consumables.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Associate degree or diploma in Material Management.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas, Fabrication, Construction, Marine, or Petrochemical sectors as a systems administrator.
- Knowledgeable in managing Offshore/Onshore engineering 3D design and detailing software data, including S3D, E3D, Tekla, and Spoolgen.
- Proficient with computer applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Extensive on-the-job training and familiarity with diverse operational procedures.
