Job description
Role overview
This permanent Confectioner position sits within the Chocolate Making team at the Claremont site in Tasmania. The role is hands-on and focused on running and supporting production equipment and processes in line with autonomous maintenance practices.
What the role involves
You will take ownership of at least one process, machine, or system and keep it operating efficiently while following autonomous maintenance standards. A key part of the job is using your technical knowledge to lift line and system performance so production needs are met.
Your work will support the site’s targets across safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and team morale. You will also carry out standard operating routines using autonomous maintenance and planned maintenance methods, while making sure quality and safety checks are completed properly.
The role also includes contributing to shutdown maintenance activities, investigating root causes, reducing stoppages and losses, and helping remove breakdown-related issues.
Experience and capability sought
The ideal candidate brings practical exposure to machine operation and understands total productive maintenance tools and methods. You should also be comfortable working to safety and quality requirements, communicating clearly in the site’s working language, and collaborating effectively in a varied team environment.
Additional information
This is a regular permanent role in the manufacturing function.
