Compliance Analyst - Freelance AI Trainer

About the Role

Mindrift connects professionals to project-based AI tasks aimed at verifying and enhancing artificial intelligence systems for top technology firms. This engagement is freelance and project-specific, not a permanent job position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create and assess rule application cases by analyzing compliance documents such as advertisements, disclosures, or policies against defined regulations, citing the exact relevant subsections.
• Compose detailed sanctions alert disposition reports including structured false-positive justifications and escalation frameworks.
• Develop scenarios for compliance testing which involves selecting samples, designing tests, documenting findings, and preparing conclusive memos suitable for examiners.
• Identify gaps in policies where internal rules either omit regulatory requirements, contradict regulations, or remain outdated following regulatory amendments.
• Document all assessment cases with precise regulatory references, ensuring accuracy without approximations or fabrications.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Have a degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Possess at least two years of experience in compliance, audit, legal, risk management, or financial services.
• Recent or current experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related financial crime roles is preferred.
• Exhibit meticulous citation ability—accurately identifying exact regulatory subsections and appropriately acknowledging uncertainty where applicable.
• Holding certifications like CRCM, CAMS, or an equivalent local qualification is highly advantageous; experience as a regulatory examiner or inspector is also favorable.
• Display strong written English communication skills at a minimum C1 proficiency level.

Work Structure and Compensation

Applicants must submit their CV in English along with their English proficiency level. The workflow involves qualification evaluation, project assignment, task completion, and subsequent payment. Active project phases typically require 10-20 hours weekly; however, workload may vary as per project needs and is not guaranteed.

Compensation can reach up to $60 per hour equivalent, influenced by expertise and contribution pace. Different projects may offer varying pay rates depending on their complexity and scope.
