Role Summary
The Junior Complaints Legal Counsel will be instrumental in supporting Revolut’s expansion by managing dispute resolution processes. The role involves handling out-of-court consumer complaints, coordinating with Greek law firms on litigation, and providing legal advice on dispute matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end process for resolving out-of-court disputes and consumer protection complaints with the relevant Greek authorities.
- Review and prepare formal legal responses related to dispute claims.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel in Greece to oversee ongoing litigation cases.
- Offer legal guidance and resolve complex escalated dispute tickets involving branch operations.
- Draft legal documents and enhance internal workflows to improve dispute handling efficiency.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in law and active membership in a Greek Bar Association.
- Prior experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel, preferably within banking or financial sectors.
- Familiarity with dispute resolution, litigation, or financial regulatory law.
- Capability to coordinate and communicate with external Greek law firms effectively.
- Fluency in English and Greek, with strong skills in drafting formal legal responses and articulating complex topics in both languages.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to managing internal and external stakeholder interactions.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods, especially in financial services contexts involving the Hellenic Consumers’ Ombudsman and the Hellenic Financial Ombudsman.
- Knowledge of Greek Consumer Protection Law, PSD2 implementation in Greece, and regulations set by the Bank of Greece.
- Interest in fintech industry developments.
