About the Role
Join Thames-Coromandel District Council in a role dedicated to enhancing the well-being, resilience, and connectivity of communities throughout the Thames-Coromandel District. As a Community Partnerships Coordinator, you will contribute significantly to social progress by collaborating with a diverse range of community groups, iwi, government bodies, funding entities, and educational institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture robust partnerships with community members and stakeholders.
- Facilitate and support community-led development initiatives and projects.
- Identify and pursue external funding streams and grant opportunities.
- Contribute to community safety and resilience programs.
- Engage collaboratively with iwi and diverse demographic groups across the district.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in community development, social services, local government, or fields with related focus.
- Comprehensive understanding of social issues and community dynamics.
- Track record of successfully obtaining grants and external funding.
- Exceptional skills in building relationships and managing stakeholder engagement.
- Strong abilities in project management, effective communication, and report preparation.
- Capability to influence outcomes, collaborate with diverse groups, and work constructively across teams.
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification or possess substantial equivalent professional experience.
Additional Requirements
A valid New Zealand driver's license and legal authorization to work in New Zealand are mandatory. Application deadline is 6 September 2026.
