Role Overview
The Community Manager will play a vital role in cultivating, expanding, and energizing our user community across various platforms including forums, social media, and user groups. The position demands excellent communication capabilities, creativity, and enthusiasm for nurturing engagement to boost user satisfaction, brand loyalty, and community growth. This is a fully onsite role based in our Lisbon office with relocation support available.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategies to grow and maintain an engaged user base.
- Oversee and facilitate community spaces such as forums and social media groups.
- Interact with users by responding to inquiries, managing dialogues, and encouraging positive discussions.
- Plan and promote community activities including events, webinars, and Q&A sessions.
- Work collaboratively with marketing, product development, and support teams to enhance the overall user journey.
- Track community engagement metrics to refine and optimize initiatives.
- Discover and activate loyal brand advocates and superusers within the community.
- Keep abreast of latest trends and tools in community management to consistently improve practices.
- Establish and uphold community policies ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
- Handle user issues thoughtfully and escalate to appropriate departments when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience in roles related to community management, social media management, or customer engagement.
- Proven experience managing online communities or groups on platforms like Discord, Reddit, Facebook Groups, Slack, or proprietary forums.
- Strong ability in both written and verbal communication to effectively engage and motivate community members.
- Proficiency with community management and analytics tools.
- Capability to manage sensitive situations, mediate conflicts, and enforce guidelines diplomatically.
- Experience in organizing and driving community-oriented events and programs.
- Passionate about fostering meaningful relationships that enhance brand loyalty.
- Data-driven approach to analyze engagement and modify strategies accordingly.
- Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced digital environment focused on user needs.
