Role Overview
Minimalist Hotels is seeking a full-time Community Manager to be based on-site at our Panaji, Goa property. The primary goal of this position is to cultivate an engaging and lively community environment by connecting with guests, arranging events and activities, and establishing meaningful ties with travelers, local artists, and neighborhood collaborators.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and foster an inclusive, vibrant community atmosphere.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate workshops, social events, and cultural activities that resonate with the brand's philosophy.
- Create, shoot, and edit photo and short-form video content (e.g., social media stories and reels) that highlights daily life and events at the property.
- Craft and refine written communications such as captions, posts, and messages for guests, maintaining a consistent brand tone.
- Develop and nurture partnerships with local creatives, artists, businesses, and community stakeholders.
- Actively gather and respond to guest feedback to enhance the overall experience.
- Work closely with Operations and Food & Beverage teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Preserve the aesthetic and cultural identity of the space through events, visual content, and guest interactions.
- Manage logistics and scheduling for multiple community-related activities concurrently.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to engage communities and build relationships with a diverse range of guests and partners.
- Experience in event coordination, including planning and executing workshops and cultural gatherings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to tell compelling stories both verbally and in writing.
- Expertise in photo and video editing software such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalents to produce polished social media content.
- Customer service background with a focus on fostering welcoming and inclusive environments and proactively addressing guest needs.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to juggle several projects and collaborations within a dynamic setting.
- Preferably, a background in hospitality, communications, marketing, or related disciplines, or significant experience in community-centered roles.
- Previous work experience in hotels, hostels, co-living, or community-driven venues is highly valued.
- Awareness of youth culture, creative design, and travel trends to integrate into the community experience is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends.
