Overview

Connexus Recruit is collaborating with a prominent Irish charity to appoint a Community & Fundraising Manager for the Munster region. This home-based role, with responsibility across County Cork and surrounding areas, offers a two-year fixed term contract, requiring a full clean driving licence and personal access to a vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and enhance partnerships with local and regional businesses to secure sponsorship and develop fundraising opportunities.
  • Identify and cultivate new sources of income and partnership opportunities within the Munster region.
  • Provide support and encouragement to community groups, schools, and volunteer fundraisers, enabling them to execute successful fundraising efforts.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with supporters, volunteers, and regional stakeholders.
  • Act as an ambassador for the organisation at fundraising occasions, presentations, community events, and networking functions.
  • Assist in delivering regional fundraising campaigns and events with the aim of meeting specific income and engagement objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with volunteer teams, offering guidance, support, and recognition of their contributions.
  • Track fundraising progress, oversee budgets, and ensure precise record-keeping and reporting.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in fundraising, business development, sales, partnership development, account management, or community engagement is essential.
  • Skilled relationship builder with a passion for networking with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience working with volunteers, community organizations, or stakeholder networks is beneficial.
  • Highly organised, self-driven, and able to work autonomously.
  • Energetic, positive, and proactive work approach.
  • Must possess a full clean driving licence and have access to reliable personal transportation.
