Role Overview
Within the Communications team dedicated to Singapore, you will play a key role in crafting Grab's public image by narrating impactful stories about our products, people, and societal contributions. This role involves collaboration with media, creators, policymakers, and the public to integrate corporate, consumer, and digital narratives that cultivate trust, enhance brand strength, and fuel business expansion.
Reporting directly to the Singapore Communications Lead, you will influence how Grab is perceived locally by managing communications around corporate reputation, consumer stories, and digital interactions. Your responsibilities will span strategic messaging and practical execution, including managing media relations, addressing sensitive issues, generating creator-driven concepts, and overseeing campaigns, events, and agency collaborations. This position requires a full onsite presence at Grab's office in one-north, Singapore.
Key Duties
- Formulate comprehensive communication strategies aligned with Grab’s brand objectives and local priorities.
- Collaborate with various teams to transform company goals into compelling narratives across earned media, owned channels, and creator platforms.
- Oversee daily media interactions such as fielding inquiries, arranging interviews, and arranging opportunities for executive visibility.
- Develop story angles and digital-first content that resonate with Singapore’s community.
- Assist in managing crisis communications by preparing official statements, Q&A documents, and coordinating messaging with senior leaders.
- Execute media and creator initiatives including campaigns, events, and partnerships.
- Manage communication operations involving agencies and internal teams, ensuring smooth processes for reporting, approvals, budgeting, invoice handling, and performance reviews.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Over six years' experience in corporate, consumer, or integrated communications within agencies or corporate environments.
- Proven expertise in media relations, issue resolution, and reputation maintenance, including navigating intricate communication challenges in high-profile contexts.
- Proficiency in delivering complex information in clear, audience-centric narratives tailored for traditional, digital, and social media.
- Exceptional writing and editing capabilities, demonstrated through preparation of media statements, Q&As, executive documentation, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience partnering with marketing, branding, and creative teams on integrated campaigns featuring creator engagement.
- Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills, adept at coordinating multiple projects, agencies, and approval workflows with meticulous attention to detail.
- In-depth understanding of Singapore’s media, creator, and digital ecosystem with the ability to craft credible messaging resonant to local audiences.
