Role Purpose
This position sits within the Onshore Operations function under Construction Activities. The Commissioning Supervisor is responsible for supporting commissioning, start-up, testing, training, and operational readiness activities.
Key Responsibilities
The role includes coordination across engineering disciplines, licensors, vendors, and subcontractors, along with technical support for safe and efficient operations. The incumbent will contribute to QA/QC certification-related work, firefighting system response and control, HSE system control, integrated control system development, production strategy development, marketing analysis of products, maintainability and inspection criteria, and spare-parts reliability initiatives.
Additional duties cover safety and quality monitoring, support for pre-start-up safety reviews and HSE meetings, progress reporting, troubleshooting technical and HSE-related issues, root-cause analysis, knowledge transfer, operational optimization, change management after handover, review of manuals and procedures, participation in design reviews, and preparation of purchase requisitions and technical evaluations.
Offshore Scope
For offshore work, the position also involves maintaining accurate CMMS usage, validating work orders, keeping equipment hierarchies and maintenance routines current, planning maintenance activities, coordinating with operations and HSE, managing vendors and OEMs, tracking maintenance KPIs, conducting inspections and audits, supporting turnarounds, improving maintenance strategies, managing spares, driving reliability initiatives, and ensuring lessons learned are reflected in CMMS and job plans.
Requirements
Candidates should hold a university degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent qualification, and bring at least 5 years of work experience. Prior exposure to similar responsibilities on EPC oil & gas or refinery projects is essential. Strong working knowledge of English and Arabic is required.
