About the Role
An exciting opportunity is open for a passionate Commis Chef to become part of the dynamic Hot Section culinary team at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and plate high-quality dishes tailored for conferences, banquets, and various events.
- Support menu preparation, service activities, and daily kitchen workflow.
- Contribute creative input towards menu development and enhance kitchen processes.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards.
- Mentor and assist apprentice and junior chefs in their development.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
- Help create exceptional dining experiences for every event guest.
Candidate Profile
- Holds at least Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with relevant post-trade experience.
- Has prior experience working in a commercial kitchen or hospitality context.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for delivering quality cuisine with careful presentation.
- Exhibits excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Works calmly and efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintains a positive outlook with strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Shows eagerness to learn continuously and improve culinary skills.
- Available for flexible work schedules including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
