About Stotles and the Role

Stotles is a unified platform designed to help public sector businesses grow by streamlining strategy creation, pipeline building, tender tracking, and bid management. It transforms fragmented processes, overwhelming data, and unproductive collaboration into a cohesive, end-to-end workflow, empowering teams to focus on winning contracts. By leveraging AI at every stage, Stotles enhances decision-making, identifies optimal opportunities, summarizes complex information, and automates routine tasks to boost strategic efforts.

Trusted by industry leaders such as Salesforce, SAP, Vodafone, and more, Stotles is expanding its Research and Services team. This team works closely with customers from major companies selling to government entities, delivering data-driven insights to shape public sector sales and bid strategies.

We are seeking a Commercial Research Analyst to manage research projects tied to our clients and internal teams. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about UK public sector procurement, adept at translating complex data into practical insights, and eager to operate at the convergence of research, commercial strategy, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead research initiatives from initial scoping and data gathering through analysis and delivery of refined outputs, presenting outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Convert insights into actionable intelligence by producing market mappings, opportunity reports, competitor and partner evaluations, and sector-specific summaries that guide companies in identifying and leveraging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to attract new customers by supporting prospect demos, content creation, webinars, and demonstrating the value of our data and domain expertise.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of public sector policies and procurement processes, keeping commercial teams informed on relevant funding, frameworks, and buyer activities.
  • Contribute to enhancing research workflows and product innovation at Stotles, focusing on scalability, AI integration, automation, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in relevant fields.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including expertise in index-match functions, capable of transforming complex or disorganized data into clear, accessible presentations for non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present detailed findings credibly to diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills, capable of independently juggling multiple projects and meeting deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Tech-savvy and quick to adapt to new tools; experience with AI technologies such as Claude is a notable advantage.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is beneficial.
  • In-depth understanding of the UK public sector procurement system, including tenders, framework agreements, and procurement cycles, preferably from a supplier perspective.
  • Comfort with delivering presentations or demos to external audiences is desirable.
  • Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, with a passion for unraveling patterns in complex datasets to deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and independently structure work.
  • Curious, proactive, and collaborative, with an eagerness to learn and contribute beyond assigned tasks.

Additional Information

The interview process involves three stages: an introductory video call (~20 minutes) to discuss your background and motivations; a skills assessment involving a presentation of a take-home exercise (~1 hour) performed via video or in-person; and a final in-person meeting to get acquainted with the team and company culture (~1 hour).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range from £45,000 to £60,000 annually, with equity options tailored to experience.
  • A comprehensive health cash plan covering dental, optical, physical therapy, and consultations.
  • A monthly £130 allowance for personal health and wellness activities such as gym memberships, therapy, or yoga classes.
  • 25 days of paid vacation plus bank holidays.
  • A dedicated learning and development budget for books, courses, conferences, and events.
  • Central London office location (Farringdon) with a hybrid work model—3-5 days onsite for commercial and operations teams, 1-2 days for product and engineering teams, plus flexible remote work options.
  • A £400 work-from-home equipment budget for office essentials like monitors, chairs, or keyboards.
  • Regular in-person team-bonding events, dubbed "TeamChills™️," featuring activities from mini-golf to communal meals and picnics.
