About the role
Kiwibank is seeking a Commercial Manager to support a varied portfolio of commercial customers in Nelson. In this position, you will help drive business growth in the region by developing trusted relationships, delivering banking solutions that suit each customer, and guiding businesses through both opportunities and challenges.
You will work with a Commercial Associate and specialist support teams, giving you the backing to concentrate on strengthening customer partnerships, expanding quality lending, and helping local businesses and communities achieve better outcomes.

What you will do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial and business banking customers.
- Support the growth of a diverse customer portfolio through tailored banking solutions.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities across a competitive market.
- Assess credit requirements, including more complex lending and deal structures.
- Apply sound judgement when reviewing financial information and managing portfolios.
- Provide expert advice to customers as they navigate business challenges and opportunities.
- Work alongside internal partners and a Commercial Associate to support customer needs.
