About the role
Based in Queenstown, this position offers the chance to contribute to business banking in a location known for its scenery, community feel, and lifestyle advantages. The role is centered on helping Kiwi businesses succeed by delivering practical banking support that creates value for customers and the wider community.
As a Commercial Associate, you will support the day-to-day management of a customer portfolio, evaluate and progress credit applications for commercial lending, and provide banking solutions tailored to business needs. You will work closely with Commercial Growth Managers to strengthen relationships with existing customers, new-to-bank customers, and prospects.
This role is well suited to someone who wants to make an impact while building a strong base in business banking, especially if you bring curiosity, drive, and a willingness to learn.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the daily administration and servicing of an assigned customer portfolio.
- Review, assess, and process credit requests for commercial loan facilities.
- Develop and deliver banking solutions aligned to customer needs.
- Partner with Commercial Growth Managers to support relationship growth and business development.
- Build trusted relationships with current customers, prospective customers, and businesses new to the bank.
- Contribute to outcomes that help local businesses grow and strengthen communities.
