Role Overview

As a Commercial Analyst within Gallagher Security's Commercial team in Hamilton, your role centers on transforming diverse datasets — including financial, pricing, customer, product, and operational information — into actionable insights. Collaborating with the Commercial Manager and Pricing Analysts, you will develop models, tackle complex business queries, and guide strategic decisions that promote growth and profitability on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Create analyses that support both strategic planning and daily operational decisions across the organization.
• Evaluate business performance by probing core drivers and translating outcomes into practical recommendations.
• Integrate multiple data sources to detect trends, risks, and potential opportunities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial and commercial models aiding forecasting, planning, and investment evaluation.
• Effectively communicate insightful findings clearly to diverse stakeholders, technical and non-technical alike.
• Enhance existing analytical systems, reports, templates, and tools to boost decision-making capabilities.
• Investigate the application of automation, AI, and novel analytical technologies to optimize efficiency and insight accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience

• Familiarity and proven experience with business and financial analysis roles that inform decision-making processes.
• Ability to work extensively with complex datasets using analytical and modeling tools.
• Sound commercial understanding of what influences business growth, profitability, and performance.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, business intelligence, or related systems supporting data analysis.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and proficient communication skills.
• Effective presentation skills that clearly convey evidence-based recommendations to various audiences.
• Organized, proactive, collaborative, with meticulous attention to detail and upholding data integrity.
