Role Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Collections, this position is responsible for bringing strong global collections experience to help meet collections and accounts receivable targets. The role is focused on delivering an excellent customer experience in A/R, supporting the cash collection strategy, and applying proven practices to ensure high-quality execution across integration-related work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage timely collection activity for your assigned portfolio and ensure customer records remain accurate.
- Work through collection disputes within your portfolio and aim to resolve them effectively.
- Stay current on evolving collection methods, policies, and operational processes.
- Assess disputed or contentious balances early, before they become 30 days past due, and identify accounts that may be at risk for escalation to your leader.
- Coordinate with colleagues to help with collection work in other portfolios when needed so cash flow and receivables goals are achieved.
- Support your manager on projects and initiatives that improve the cash collection and accounts receivable function.
Education and Experience
You should be enrolled in an accredited credit and collections program, or have an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Skills and Experience Required
- At least 3 years of collections experience, ideally in a global B2B environment.
- A strong customer-first approach with the ability to resolve issues effectively on the first attempt.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, along with solid negotiation ability for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent planning and time-management skills, with experience balancing several priorities at once.
- Working knowledge of ERP platforms and the Microsoft Office suite.
- A self-directed mindset with an interest in continuous improvement and process automation.
- Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach to solving problems.
- Ability to learn from peers, adapt quickly, and contribute to a resilient culture in a changing environment.
