Job description
Company Overview
GoRider Enterprises is an early-stage venture working on practical technology-driven ideas in the transportation and mobility sector. Its goal is to use data and digital tools to improve local travel so it becomes more efficient, safer, and dependable for both individuals and businesses. Because the company is still being built, the role offers a chance to help shape the product direction, operating style, and team culture from the beginning. The environment is collaborative and values experimentation, customer insights, and continuous refinement to support long-term growth.
Role Summary
This is a full-time Co-Founder position based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, with a hybrid setup that allows some work from home. The selected person will partner with the other founders to sharpen the business vision, prioritize the most important strategic goals, and turn them into practical execution plans.
Key Responsibilities
The Co-Founder will take an active role in researching the market and customer base, testing and validating business concepts, and shaping the product roadmap. The position also involves developing and sustaining relationships with customers, partners, and other stakeholders, while driving sales and marketing efforts to attract and keep users. In addition, the role includes supporting financial management, monitoring important business metrics, assisting with fundraising when required, and helping recruit, guide, and coordinate a small team to ensure smooth operations and strong execution.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be a strong analytical thinker who can interpret data, assess business models, and make decisions based on evidence. Excellent written and verbal communication is important for presenting ideas, negotiating, and working well with different stakeholders. The role also calls for demonstrated ability in sales, including lead generation, pipeline development, deal closure, and relationship management. Experience with marketing strategy, brand positioning, digital promotion, and go-to-market planning is valuable, as is the ability to research customer needs, competition, and new market opportunities. An entrepreneurial mindset is important, along with a background in startups, business building, or launching products or services. The person should be comfortable working independently in a hybrid arrangement, managing time effectively, and adapting quickly as priorities change. Basic understanding of finance, budgeting, and performance tracking is needed, and prior fundraising exposure is considered an advantage. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience is also acceptable.
