Job description
Role overview
This position supports clinical research activities on a day-to-day basis within the Surgery division. The role centers on gathering and organizing study information, helping with research-related paperwork, and providing administrative support to clinical research coordinators and other team members in the assigned area.
Key duties
- Support ongoing clinical study operations, including taking calls, checking participant eligibility, registering subjects with the sponsor, and administering lifestyle questionnaires.
- Collect study information, keep records up to date, and enter all data into the database.
- Help prepare grant materials and submission documents for the Institutional Review Board and the Grants and Contracts Office.
- Keep source records and participant files organized and aligned with hospital procedures, and verify that subject data is complete and accurate by reviewing charts.
- Handle, secure, transport, and ship clinical specimens according to protocol requirements.
- Assist with preparation activities for monitoring visits.
- Carry out additional related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
An associate degree in science or a closely related discipline is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is also acceptable when combined with two years of relevant experience. Prior experience in a research setting is preferred, ideally at least one year.

Compensation
The stated pay range for this role is $16.50 to $24.5479 per hour. Final pay may vary depending on experience, education, and operational requirements. Bonus payments, incentive compensation, shift differentials, and other benefits are not included in the listed range.
