Role overview

Inizio Engage works in partnership with a major biotechnology company across commercial, patient solutions, and medical affairs functions. The organization is looking for a Clinical Educator to deliver educational support to healthcare professionals and office teams in primary care and specialty settings, focused on a specific disease area. In this role, you will share disease-state knowledge using approved materials, follow program standards and compliance requirements, and meet the expectations set by Inizio leadership and the client.

What this role involves

  • Provide detailed education on disease states and treatment management protocols to healthcare providers.
  • Build productive working relationships with key customers and stakeholders through compliant use of approved educational resources.
  • Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in every material, conversation, and work activity.
  • Operate within the client-defined framework while coordinating with field counterparts.
  • Complete all required Inizio and client training, as well as competency checks, within the required deadlines.
  • Keep accurate daily records of office interactions and complete required reporting.
  • Track time and expenses through the designated Inizio systems.
  • Maintain any professional registration and/or license required by Inizio and applicable state law.
  • Attend local and national meetings or conferences when requested to stay current on program updates and share best practices.
  • Care for company and client equipment and materials according to instructions.
  • Follow company policy, the code of conduct, and external industry regulations at all times.
  • Remain reachable during working hours to respond to questions and carry out responsibilities.
  • Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license at all times and notify Inizio immediately of any violations or accumulated penalty points.
  • Manage the assigned territory effectively and travel as required, including overnight trips.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
  • Clinical Educators do not deliver nursing care, medical advice, or treatment advice, and they do not market or promote pharmacological products.

What you need

  • You must be a qualified healthcare professional with an active state license; respiratory therapist or registered nurse background is preferred.
  • An associate degree, bachelor’s degree, BSN, or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
  • You should have at least 3 years of experience in a specific disease state or closely related area; respiratory experience is preferred.
  • Prior work in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry as a clinical educator or in sales is preferred.
  • Strong professional communication and presentation abilities are essential.
  • You should be comfortable presenting to physicians and different office staff members.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively, are needed.
  • You must be able to manage several responsibilities and territory demands at the same time.
  • A self-driven attitude with strong personal motivation is important.
  • Ongoing professional development and a commitment to maintaining clinical knowledge are expected.
  • You must be willing to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays, and reside within the assigned territory.
  • You should be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and use standard office equipment.
