Job description
About the role
This position is for quantitative specialists who want to contribute to the training of AI models. You will work directly with advanced AI systems by checking AI-created quantitative analyses, solving technical tasks, and giving feedback that helps improve how these models handle data, modelling, and scientific reasoning.
The role is suitable for professionals from fields such as data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and other mathematically or analytically intensive disciplines. If you have a rigorous, data-driven approach to problem solving, your background may be a strong fit.
Some contributors use this as a side arrangement alongside a full-time job, while others make it their main work.
How the process works
After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the selection step. If you are successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid tasks will be unlocked on the platform.
Contract benefits
- You can select the projects you want to take on and decide when to work.
- The work is done from your own computer, on a schedule that suits you, and can be performed from home.
- Pay starts at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, with some projects offering additional bonus rates.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated quantitative outputs for accuracy, including statistical analysis, predictive modelling, scientific interpretation, and data-backed conclusions.
- Create and solve quantitative problems that help train and test AI systems in areas such as forecasting, experimental analysis, optimisation, and statistical inference.
- Prepare precise technical write-ups and maintain clearly documented analytical code.
- Share feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI models for quantitative reasoning.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative job or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
- Some programming experience is necessary, including comfort with writing and reviewing analytical code from start to finish.
- Hands-on familiarity with statistical techniques, predictive modelling, and experiment design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
- Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, plus excellent written communication skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject is preferred, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar discipline; a master’s degree or PhD is an advantage.
- Additional proof of expertise is beneficial, such as a strong Kaggle ranking, AWS or GCP machine learning certifications, or comparable credentials.
Payment and contractor details
Payment is processed through PayPal. You will not be asked to pay anything at any stage, and PayPal handles any currency conversion from USD. This is an independent contractor engagement, not an employment offer.
Location and eligibility
Only candidates based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand will be considered.
