Job description
Role Overview
This position supports the finance and accounting function by accurately handling accounts payable work, maintaining financial records, and ensuring that all entries, postings, and supporting documents are processed correctly. The role also involves period-end close activities, cash and petty cash controls, bank reconciliations, and cooperation with audit and compliance requirements.
Key Duties
- Review figures, postings, and paperwork to confirm that entries are accurate, mathematically correct, and coded properly.
- Maintain organized, secure records, cash, and cash equivalents in line with company procedures.
- Enter, retrieve, store, and analyze computerized financial data as needed.
- Sort, code, and summarize financial and numerical information for journals, ledgers, and system records.
- Carry out end-of-period closing tasks and prepare related reports.
- Perform periodic cashier bank audits in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Track, issue, and record petty cash, cashier banks, and related contracts.
- Monitor cash variances, document them, communicate them, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Serve as the point of contact between the property and the armored car service or primary banking institution.
- Support internal, external, and regulatory audit processes while ensuring SOP compliance.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related work experience. No supervisory background or certification is required.
