Senior Accountant

Position Summary

Cendyn is hiring a meticulous Senior Accountant to strengthen its finance function. This role is centered on maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting compliance with financial rules, and contributing insights that help guide business decisions. Success in this position calls for strong analytical ability and a solid command of accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting close activities at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end while keeping timelines and accuracy on track.
• Draft and validate financial statements in line with US GAAP.
• Handle general ledger reconciliations, journal postings, and accruals across multiple legal entities and currencies.
• Review financial results to spot patterns, variances, and areas where performance can improve.
• Work with external auditors and help ensure the company is fully prepared for audits.
• Support preparation of local statutory financial statements and audits for non-US entities.
• Help design, improve, and apply accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Use accounting and business systems such as NetSuite, FloQast, Excel, and Salesforce to complete core duties.
• Safeguard confidential and proprietary accounting data.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations on both a consolidated and local statutory basis.
• Compare general ledger movements against budget and forecast assumptions.
• Create accounting statements and reports as needed.
• Manage electronic retention files and maintain records for the required retention period.
• Operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Learn new tools and help roll out software enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent mix of advanced education and experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel capability.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• CPA certification in the U.S. is preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.
