About the Role
At FedEx, every shipment is important. As a Clearance Agent based in Matraville, New South Wales, you will be instrumental in ensuring international shipments pass customs inspections efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulations so that they arrive on schedule to customers.
This role offers the chance to deepen your knowledge in international trade and customs compliance while contributing to a globally respected transportation and logistics leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and confirm the accuracy of customs paperwork such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, permits, and declarations.
- Prepare and submit customs declarations punctually and with precision.
- Coordinate with customs officials and regulatory agencies to ensure shipments are cleared swiftly.
- Collaborate with customers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to gather necessary information, troubleshoot clearance issues, and reduce delays.
- Investigate and resolve customs exceptions and compliance concerns.
- Maintain detailed records compliant with regulatory standards and FedEx policies.
- Keep abreast of updates in customs laws, trade agreements, and tariff regulations.
- Work alongside Operations, Customer Service, and Sales departments to ensure a smooth customer experience.
