Role overview

Ventia is looking to hire several cleaners for its Defence Base Services team at RAAF Base Tindal in Katherine, Northern Territory. Work scope

This position covers general, commercial, and periodic cleaning across a range of facilities such as accommodation blocks, offices, medical areas, dining spaces, and training buildings.

Key duties

• Carry out and help manage day-to-day cleaning activities in assigned areas.
• Complete routine cleaning work such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising bathrooms.
• Replenish bathroom consumables and cleaning materials when needed.
• Track cleaning stock and arrange replacements or orders as required.
• Maintain spaces so they remain clean, safe, and welcoming for staff and visitors.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant is comfortable using, operating, and looking after cleaning equipment, understands appropriate cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, and has knowledge of waste handling and recycling procedures. A current Australian driver’s licence and personal transport are required because work will involve travel between sites.

Security and clearance requirements

Applicants must be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance. That means candidates need to be Australian citizens and prepared to complete an Australian Federal Police check.
