The opportunity

An opportunity is available for a dependable and enthusiastic cleaner to join the team at a retail location on the Sunshine Coast. This position suits someone who works well in a busy environment, notices the small details, and takes pride in keeping spaces clean and presentable for customers and clients.

This is a full-time night shift role, working Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 AM to 8:36 AM. Pay will be in line with the applicable award wage.

Key duties

• Carry out day-to-day cleaning tasks to a consistently high standard
• Clean upholstered and other furnishings by spot treatment as needed
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean toilets and washrooms
• Collect and dispose of rubbish
• Wash glass surfaces on both the inside and outside
• Dust and wipe down hard surfaces

What we are looking for

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally in a commercial setting
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfort working independently and following instructions
• Strong eye for detail
• Valid driver’s licence and a police check
• Good customer service manner
• Reliable attendance and strong punctuality
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Willingness to work flexible hours and public holidays when needed
• Experience using floor care machines such as scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers is an advantage
