Cleaner - Central Buildings

Role overview

As a cleaner based in the Central Buildings area at Whinfell Forest, you will help maintain a fresh, tidy and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues. The role supports the upkeep of communal spaces used by families and staff, including restaurants, retail areas, washrooms and back-of-house spaces.

Location: Whinfell Forest, Penrith, England, United Kingdom (CA10 2DW).

Hourly pay: £12.87 per hour. Overnight hours between 12:00am and 6:00am attract a 10% pay increase.

What you will do

• Carry out routine cleaning duties across public areas and colleague-only spaces.
• Work with industrial cleaning tools and equipment as part of your day-to-day tasks.
• Top up toiletries and flag maintenance or cleanliness issues when needed.

Working pattern

• This is a part-time position with either early morning shifts from 5:00am to 9:00am or evening shifts from 7:30pm to 11:30pm.
• You will be contracted for a guaranteed minimum of 80 hours across each 4-week period.
• Additional hours may be requested depending on operational needs.
• The rota includes midweek shifts, alternate weekends and bank holidays.

What we are looking for

No prior cleaning experience is needed. You should have a strong eye for detail, feel comfortable speaking with guests and colleagues, and be able to use a tablet or phone app with basic confidence.
