About the Role

Royal York Property Management, a prominent property management company in Canada overseeing numerous residential rental units across Ontario, is looking for dependable and meticulous Cleaners to join its expanding cleaning team. This position involves various cleaning activities including move-in, move-out, vacant-unit turnover, and routine housekeeping duties in occupied residences. Candidates must travel directly to scheduled cleaning appointments and operate independently to ensure each property is cleaned thoroughly and in compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute move-in and move-out cleaning for residential rental properties.
• Carry out detailed turnover cleaning in unoccupied apartments and houses.
• Provide regular housekeeping services when necessary in occupied homes.
• Clean multiple areas including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, floors, and common surfaces comprehensively.
• Perform detailed cleaning of baseboards, inside cabinets, and inside appliances.
• Utilize a mobile work application to receive assignments, follow instructions, use GPS navigation, upload photos, and update job progress.
• Inspect completed work thoroughly before departure to ensure high cleaning standards are satisfied.
• Report any property damage, maintenance issues, or locations that cannot be cleaned adequately.
• Commute between cleaning locations using a personal vehicle.

Requirements

• At least two years of paid professional cleaning experience is mandatory.
• Comfortable performing both move-in/move-out cleaning and regular housekeeping tasks.
• Possess a reliable personal vehicle for traveling to different cleaning sites and carrying cleaning equipment.
• Bring all essential cleaning supplies and equipment needed for residential cleaning work.
• Own a suitable smartphone capable of operating mobile work applications, GPS, capturing clear photos, reading instructions, and submitting job updates.
• Proficient in cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, floors, baseboards, cabinets, appliances, and other detailed areas independently.
• Able to follow cleaning instructions with minimal supervision.
• Basic communication skills in English are necessary.
• Dependable and punctual with readiness to adhere to GPS-verified arrival times.

Compensation for this role is competitive at $32.50 per hour.
