Class 5 Driver - Surfacing Sealing Team

Role overview

Higgins is hiring an experienced Class 5 Driver to join the Surfacing and Sealing team in Napier. The position supports sealing work across the wider Hawke’s Bay region and suits someone with a background in roading and civil transport.

What the role involves

You will operate heavy trucks and be responsible for moving specialised roading machinery and materials safely. The job also calls for familiarity with road construction processes, plus practical experience in metal spreading and the asphalt supply chain.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will already hold a Class 5 licence and WTR endorsement. A Dangerous Goods endorsement would be an advantage. You should also have a clean driving history, relevant experience in civil construction or road maintenance, and the flexibility to work on an on-call roster. Reliability is important, with a strong willingness to turn up and get the job done in all weather conditions.
